Being peaceful and content with life doesn’t mean that life is without bumps. It means that we learn through sustained effort to be present in the midst of every flavor and shade that life offers us, to see the greater picture, and to remain centered in the heart. Life isn’t what it appears to be, love. It’s a play, a drama, a veritable game of hide and seek with the divine.
Spending time in meditation and learning to step back in our own awareness in situations that are both joyous and challenging, to see the emotional fluctuations and mental gyrations that we experience not as who we are, but as an experience of energy, helps us remember that our true identity is pure consciousness and that we are ultimately and intimately connected with one another. Underlying all of life is Love. Sometimes it’s well disguised and we forget… The truth is that we are all connected.
